Should cameras be placed in nursing home rooms?

I just wrote a post on placing cameras in all nursing home rooms.
See post.
I don't think this is a good idea because I think a security system is only as good as the people who manage it.

Just because a camera is present does not mean anyone will be watching it.

I plan on being the one watching it. You wouldn't put in a Nanny Cam and then have the agency you hired you Nanny from watch it. "Granny Cams" are for family members to monitor the care being given to their loved ones in long term care facilities where you know that the resident requires extensive amounts of service from the facility (bathing, feeding, dressing, transferring, etc).
